Synopsis
Three brothers - Keith, Berga and Luck Gandor - play poker around a table. Luck explains some of the history behind the faces and marks to the cards to Berga, who's more concerned with how the jack looks similar to the 'turf stomper' he 'rubbed out' the other day. Keith wins the hand with five-of-a-kind.
Berga demands that Keith stop using jokers when he plays poker, and Luck smirks that Death likes Keith. Berga counters that it's the other way around - "Keith is one of Death's fans."
Jorgi, the Gandor Family's finance manager, joins the brothers for a hand of poker at their invitation. He informs them that he saw a lot of cops by the hat shop that morning, and Luck replies that they'll tell Jorgi about it later.
Referbacks
The hat store mentioned by Jorgi is the same one referred to in the previous three chapters.

Cultural References
Luck points out that the King of Diamonds' design was modeled after Roman dictator Julius Caesar. Berga is unfamiliar with Caesar's name.
Unanswered Questions
Ellipses (...) are placed after Keith's name instead of dialogue. This is due to the fact that he does not speak unless absolutely necessary.
